A 'Synonym' Is a word that has nearly or the exact same meaning as another word in that same language.
Using synonyms in story telling can be a great way to get your point across. They can be used to give your audience a better understanding of the story if there aren't any words they understand using synonyms can be very useful to help the viewer understand what they are watching. They also can be used to give the viewer a certain feeling such as, hearing words like insanity, mad and crazy, all can make the viewer feel some sort of suspense or discomfort.
